1. Two “message cards” I made for Suzy of miss A when I found out that miss A Japan was collecting cards from fans to give Suzy on her 17th birthday in October.

The portrait of Suzy is based on a photo from her Harper’s Bazaar Korea photo shoot. Unfortunately it looks barely anything like her, save the cropped bangs and wavy hair, but I prefer to attribute this to the fact that the face itself is only about 3/4 of an inch by 3/4 of an inch, and the weave of the fabric was not small enough to allow me much more detail in that space.

I’m quite proud of the flower/plant-life around her, but if you’ll allow me to honk my own horn, the photo doesn’t do it justice. The colors are much more delicate and compliment the kind of dreamlike, serene atmosphere of the fabric.

The actual message card with the message was much more boring to make and is much more boring to look at, but I thought I’d attach it just because. I don’t know any Korean aside from the “I love you,” “hello?” “what?” that I picked up watching (you guessed it) Korean dramas, but luckily the woman in charge of collecting the cards from Japanese fans was kind enough to translate my message for me.

I’m not usually the type to post online things that I myself actually made (okay that’s a lie I’m always fishing for compliments), but I’m rather proud of this 1. because it’s my first ever embroidery project and 2. in a weird way I feel it establishes me as a legit miss A fangirl.
